Since I don’t photograph weddings regularly, it’s not often that I get to photograph an engaged couple, but once in awhile a family member or close friend gets engaged, and it is a fun and refreshing challenge to shoot a session that allows me to do something a little more unique and creative. (It would be a total disaster to take a child on a canoe for a session!) As soon as I heard the big news about Trevor popping the question to my cousin Lexi, I started brainstorming ideas.

Imagine if you could watch a 10 minute movie starring your parents or your grandparents when they were only engaged. They’d talk about how they met, how they fell in love, and why they are looking forward to the future with one another. Oh my, the thought of that brings tears to my eyes! And that thought was my inspiration behind this photo & film story. Enjoy!
